I thought it could be interesting to show my spending on a full normal workday. I explained in an earlier post more in detail what a workday look like for me. Here i will just show you spending’s. This is excluding all fixed costs as rent and similar.
I think i should note that as soon we involve alcohol in the picture, we talk completely different numbers. It is defiantly possible to spend money in this city if you want.
I usually start a day with one hour swimming. This costs 15 baht (~ 20 euro cents).
After swimming i usually eat breakfast in a mall here called Terminal 21. Chicken and rice and a fruit shake costs 70 baht (~ 1.80 euro).
I am usually lazy and take a taxi to the place where i work. It usually costs around 60 baht (~ 1.60 euro). If i were to take the skytrain and then a motorbike instead it would be about 40 baht instead.
For lunch i usually eat something off the street, for example a pancake with banana or some grilled meat. About 30 baht (~ 80 euro cents)
After sitting down working a full day and when it is not that warm anymore i usually enjoy walking the kilometer and then take the skytrain to another mall and eat there. Skytrain 15 baht (~ 20 euro cents) and a for example a pad thai and water for 85 baht (~ 2.20 euro).
After this i go home for a little bit and then depending on how i feel i might stay home, have a few beers or like in this case here i go to the cinema. Some food first 70 baht (1.80 euro) and the cinema cost 180 baht (~ 4.70 euro).
Add some fruit and water through the day for about 50 baht (~ 1.30 euro) and we end up with a total spending of 575 baht (almost 15 euro). This is for a full day of awesome food and activities, i don’t go to the cinema every day for example. This should give you a rough idea of how much things can cost if you don’t eat to expensive and don’t party.
